The final call for TIEs
It’s a continued request from the British Embassy that is now turning into a last minute plea. If you still have a green residency certificate now really is the time to trade it in for the TIE. It is particularly urgent as the planned Entry/ Exit System requires that you have a biometric TIE (Tarjeta de Extranjero) meaning that if you do leave Spain without one, you will be classed as a non-resident and have your passport stamped on exit and entry:

Renewing your TIE
So, you have your TIE – what will happen when you need to renew it? The first group of those receiving their residency card in 2020 are now coming up for renewal but currently the process for doing this remains unclear. Selling your Spanish property in a few years’ time? Check your energy rating
That’s the advice from EuroWeekly News. Plans are currently in place for properties on the market to have the minimum requirement of an ‘E’ for energy efficiency by January 1st 2030. Of course, this is a few years away yet and many things can change in the meantime, but it might be worthwhile considering how energy efficient your home is and whether it would meet this requirement.
